In collaboration with the United State Consulate in Nigeria, ACC carried out a campaign against fake anti-malaria drugs in Nigeria. The first phase of the campaign was a poster design competition amongst secondary schools students. The students were asked to design a poster that shows their understanding of the effects of fake anti-malaria drugs on members of society. The best poster was chosen and printed and will be distributed to pharmacies in major cities in Nigeria. The second phase of the campaign was the production of jingles, which highlight the dangers of counterfeit anti-malaria drugs, to be broadcast by radio stations in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. The poster and jingles is unveiled at an Event held at the US Consulate in Lagos on the 19th of July, 2013. The radio jingle will be on air from the 1st of September, 2013 on Cool FM, Nigeria Info & Wazobia Fm. The distribution of the posters to pharmacies in Lagos is on-going and other States will follow in due course.
The jingle was produced by Tee Mac and had the voices of Yinka Davies and Emeka Ike as the artists.
